Redaction vs covering: why true removal matters
This is the mistake that leaks documents. Drawing a black rectangle in a viewer, or highlighting text black, only puts a shape on top; the words are still in the file and anyone can move the box, delete it, or copy the hidden text straight out. Real redaction removes the content itself. When you apply here, the text and pixels under each mark are deleted and the page is flattened, so there is nothing left to uncover.
